Game Recap: Soccer | | Bobby Parker, Associate AD for Communications
PEORIA, IL – The Bradley soccer team played SIU Edwardsville to a 0-0 draw on Saturday night at Shea Stadium. The Braves are now 2-7-3 and 0-2-1 in Missouri Valley play, while the Cougars move 4-4-3 and 1-1-1 in conference action.

After the schools played to a scoreless first 45 minutes of action, Logan Ketterer proved to be the key player in the second half. The senior made two saves two minutes apart with just over 15 minutes remaining, including one that was aimed for the upper corner off a free kick, to help send the game into overtime.

In the extra sessions, the Cougars held a 4-3 shot advantage but it was Bradley who had the most dangerous opportunity in the closing seconds. Jacob Taylor's header off a corner kick with under a minute left in the second overtime was going toward the far post but was cleared off the line by a defender as the teams battled to the scoreless draw.

The Cougars finished the game with an 18-12 edge in shots, while the Braves had a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks. Ketterer finished the game with six saves for his third shutout of the year.

Bradley is back in action on Tuesday with a contest at Drake. First kick is scheduled for 7 p.m.
