Clark Emerson, Jacob Taylor give Bradley Soccer multiple MVC Scholar-Athlete first-teamers for fourth straight year

ST. LOUIS - Juniors Clark Emerson (Grand Prairie, TX/Mansfield Lake Ridge H.S.) and Jacob Taylor (Dunlap, IL/Dunlap H.S.) both are Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete first team selections and senior goalkeeper Logan Ketterer (Racine, WI/The Prairie School) is an honorable mention selection, according to a league-wide vote of The Valley's men's soccer sports information directors released Monday.

Boasting a perfect, 4.00 cumulative grade point average as a finance major, Emerson is a repeat selection for the MVC Scholar-Athlete first team. He is the fifth player in program history to repeast as a CoSIDA Academic All-District 5 selection, making him eligible for Academic All-America honors. Including a goal and an assist in 18 games this season, Emerson has totaled five points on two goals and an assist in 42 career games, primarily in a defensive position.

A mechanical engineering major with a 3.78 cumulative GPA, Taylor also joined Emerson on the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District 5 squad. The anchor of Bradley's back line, Taylor was the only Brave to play every second of the 2016 season. Despite his defensive position, he will enter his senior season as the program's active scoring leader in points (21), goals (7) and assists (7).

An accounting major with a 3.35 cumulative GPA, Ketterer is a two-time honorable mention goalkeeper who also twice has earned honorable mention MVC Scholar-Athlete recognition. He ended his career fifth in program history with 12.0 career shutouts and seventh with 221 career saves.

The 2016 season marks the fourth consecutive year Bradley Soccer has been recognized with at least two MVC Scholar-Athlete first-teamers and at least three total selections. The Braves have had at least one first-team selection in seven consecutive years.
