PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior forward Leti Lerma (Muscatine, Iowa/Muscatine) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after averaging 6.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and one steal per game in two home contests last week.

Lerma tallied 11 points, seven assists and a career-best 22 rebounds in Friday's 70-60 victory against Detroit with her 22 boards ranking as the most in the nation through games of Nov. 20.  In fact, she tied a school record with 12 offensive rebounds and her 22 total boards were the most by a Missouri Valley Conference player since Dec. 2010.  Against Atlantic 10 Conference preseason favorite Saint Louis Sunday, Lerma had two points, nine rebounds and two assists.  A psychology major, Lerma owns a 3.13 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Lerma and the Bradley women's basketball team continue a season-long, five-game home stand Sunday with a 5 p.m. contest against Eureka at Renaissance Coliseum.
