PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior runner Haran Dunderdale (Grantham, England/Carres) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after his record-setting performance at the Illini Classic Saturday.

Dunderale broke the school record in the 800 meters Saturday at the indoor season opener for the Bradley men's track & field team in Champaign, Ill.  He was second in the field at the Illini Classic with a time of 1:54.24 to break the previous school mark of 1:54.69 set by Todd Bryant in 1991.  A finance major, Dunderdale owns a 3.33 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Dunderdale and the Bradley men's track & field team are back in action Friday and Saturday at the Gladstein Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.
