ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- In celebration of the Missouri Valley Conference's 25th anniversary of sponsoring women's sports, the league announced a 10-member Volleyball 25-Year Team on Thursday with former Bradley standout and recent Hall of Fame inductee Lindsay Stalzer receiving a spot on the Valley's list.

The 2005 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, Stalzer led the nation with 720 kills during her senior season and the total still stands as the Bradley and MVC single-season records.  A 6-foot-1 middle blocker, Stalzer is the only three-time, first-team All-MVC selection in Bradley volleyball history and remains one of two players in program history to boast at least 1,000 kills, 500 digs, 100 aces and 300 blocks.  In addition to her success on the court, Stalzer was a three-time, first-team MVC Scholar-Athlete and she was a third-team CoSIDA Academic All-District V honoree in 2005.

In addition to the single-season kills records, Stalzer still owns the Bradley career kills record with 1,928 kills and held the Valley career kills title until earlier this year.  While leading The Valley in kills as both a junior and senior, Stalzer also paced the league in aces during the 2005 season as a senior.

Stalzer is in her 12th season playing professionally on the international level.  Currently with the Petron Blaze Spikers in the Phillipine SuperLiga, Stalzer was named the league MVP in 2015 after helping her former team, the Foton Tornadoes, to the league title.  In 2016, she was named the finals MVP after leading HPK to Finland's league championship, then returned to Foton for another PSL title and participation in the 2016 Asian Club Championships and 2016 World Club Championships.

During the 2017-18 academic year, the Valley is naming 25-Year Anniversary Teams for each of the Valley's sponsored sports. Team composition for each sport has been determined by a 25-person committee (two representatives from each MVC institution and a panel of five voters from the Conference office) and includes years in which league teams competed under the MVC umbrella during the past 25 years (1992-2017).

Bradley Volleyball will conclude the 2017 season with home matches Friday against Evansville (7 p.m.) and Saturday vs. Indiana State (7 p.m.) at Renaissance Coliseum.
