COOKEVILLE, TN - Taking full advantage of a stiff wind blowing out to right field, Tennessee Tech (5-0) launched six home runs en route to a 13-7 win against Bradley (2-2) in the opening game of their weekend series Friday afternoon at Bush Stadium.

Golden Eagles LF Collin Harris, the number 9 hitter in the Tennessee Tech order, hit three home runs, while RF Kevin Strohschein added two long balls in a 3-for-5 performance, while DH Ryan Flick was 2-for-4 with a double TTU's sixth home run.  Bradley sophomore RF Jean-Francois Garon belted his third home run of the young season in the first inning and sophomore CF Andy Shadid also homered for the Braves.

The teams combined for 27 hits on a blustery day.  Sophomore 1B Luke Mangieri led Bradley's 12-hit attack and boosted his early-season batting average to .533 by going 3-for-5 with a double.  Spencer Gaa (2-for-5) and Shadid (2-4) both collected two hits.

Junior RHP Allan Beer (0-1) suffered the loss for the Braves by surrendering six runs on eight hits in his 4.0 innings to start the game.  Despite allowing five runs on eight hits in his 5.0 innings as the Golden Eagles starter, Michael Wood (1-0) earned the win.

The two teams will continue their 3-game series with a 2 o'clock start Saturday afternoon Bush Stadium and the finale is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.  Sophomore LHP Ben Olson (1-0) is slated for Saturday start for the Braves with senior RHP Eric Scheuermann (0-0) penciled in to start Sunday's series finale.
