Junior Haran Dunderdale led the Bradley men's track team to one of its best performances at the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championship, winning his second title of the weekend and the first individual crown by a Brave in 34 years.

Dunderdale claimed the mile run title at the indoor championship, posting a time of 4:12.76 to win the crown and narrowly edge out Ugis Jocis of Wichita State (4:12.97) and David Timlin of Indiana State (4:12.99). Dunderdale is the first ever Bradley man to win an individual track title at the MVC Indoor Championship and the first to win any event since Len Spicer claimed the triple jump title in 1983. Dunderdale has now won three career indoor titles during his collegiate tenure – to go with his distance medley relay team crowns won this season and in 2015 – the most in the program's history.

Overall, the Bradley men placed sixth at the championship with 59 points – more than double its best total in any of the last 35 years and the team's highest overall total since recording 70 points during the 1979 championship that included only six teams and was without perennial power Southern Illinois due to weather. The 1979 meet marked the only other championship that Bradley recorded more than 39 points in its history.

"I thought our men did a really good job this weekend," said Bradley head coach Darren Gauson. "We had the best finish in program history and our 59 points are more than double that of last year and a great total for us. Haran really did a great job to win his first individual title. He worked hard and showed some grit and toughness to pull out the victory in the end. Senior Patrick Campell also had a great weekend and led our 3K runners today.

"Our women's team is very young but I thought Hannah Witczak did outstanding. She worked hard to earn points today in the 3K and came so close to winning the 5K yesterday. Sara Piller also was tremendous as she just missed scoring in her second event of the weekend. Overall, our men were great this weekend, while our young women team really showed a bright future as we return almost everybody and will definitely build on this and score more points in future championships."

Senior Patrick Campbell earned All-Missouri Valley Conference honors for the second time this weekend by placing third in the 3,000m run with a time of 8:22.14. With his second all-conference accolades of the weekend, Campbell joins Michael Ward as the only two-time honorees in program history. Campbell was closely followed by freshman Jake Hoffert and senior Caleb Beck, who scored in fourth and seventh place, respectively, with times of 8:22.34 and 8:23.79.

Three additional Braves scored for Bradley on the men's side in the second day of competition. After teaming with Dunderdale to win the distance medley relay yesterday, junior Daniel Gagne and freshman Alec Hartman both earned points for BU on Sunday. Hartman placed sixth in the 800m run with a time of 1:54.82, while Gagne finished fourth in the mile run behind Dunderdale with a time of 4:13.21. Junior Taylor Floyd Mews also placed seventh in the mile with a personal-best time of 4:15.75.

On the women's side, junior Hannah Witczak placed seventh in the 3,000m run with a time of 10:04.94. Additional top 10 finishes for the women on the second day of competition came from sophomore Sara Piller, who followed Witczak in the 3,000m run in ninth place with a time of 10:05.86, and senior Rachel Sudbury, who finished ninth in the mile run with a time of 5:08.98.

Overall, the women placed ninth at the meet with 14 total points.
