PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior runner Haran Dunderdale (Grantham, England/Carres) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week after another record-breaking performance over the weekend.

Dunderdale set his third school record in as many events this season, turning in a new school standard in the 3,000 meters at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational.  He posted a time of 8:04.87 to finish third overall at the meet, breaking the previous school record of 8:05.66, set last season by Michael Ward.  Dunderdale's 3,000 meter time is the fastest in the MVC this season and currently the 25th-best time in the country.  A finance major, Dunderdale owns a 3.33 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Dunderdale and the Bradley men's track & field team will be in action Friday at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa, in addition to sending a group to the Grand Valley State Big Meet in Allendale, Mich.
