Senior Patrick Campbell highlighted the first day of action in California for the Bradley track teams, establishing a new school record in the 10,000m run on Thursday night.

At the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California, Campbell finished with a time of 29:26.07 to break the previous school 10,000m standard by more than 33 seconds. Chase Coffey held the previous BU record of 29:59.20 – set in 2014 – while Campbell also shaved more than 35 seconds off his previous career-best time. Overall, Campbell finished second in his heat and first among collegiate runners as the senior put his name atop the school's record book for the first time in his career.

Freshman Jake Hoffert also put in an impressive performance in the 10,000m run, delivering the second-best time in school history with a mark of 29:35.06 – just less than nine seconds behind Campbell's record pace and more than 24 seconds ahead of the previous BU best. Senior Caleb Beck also ran in the 10,000m run on Thursday, finishing with a time of 30:23.85.

Three additional Braves competed at the Mt. SAC Relays on Thursday night. Junior Hannah Witczak and sophomore Sara Piller clocked two of the 10 fastest career-best times in school history in the women's 10,000m run. Witczack owns the fifth-best mark in BU history with a time of 35:05.80, while Piller places 10th in 36:38.00. Additionally, senior Steffen Uhrich competed in the men's 3,000m steeplechase and posted a time of 9:26.38.

The Braves also competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azuza, California on Thursday with three student-athletes setting career-best times and posting top-10 marks in the school's record book. Freshman Kirstin Oakley ran the 3,000m steeplechase in a time of 11:02.75 to post the fourth-fastest time in school history, while cutting nearly 11 seconds off her previous personal record. Senior Taylor Floyd Mews also posted a career-best mark in the men's 5,000m run in 14:19.38 – the fifth-fastest career-best time – while freshman Gabby Juarez posted the top time by a Brave in the women's 5,000m run in 17:17.09..
