Game Recap: Baseball | | Bobby Parker, Associate AD for Communications and Operations
TERRE HAUTE, IN - Indiana State completed a 3-game sweep of Bradley by rallying for a 6-4 win after resuming Friday's suspended game and finishing off the series with a 4-1 victory in the finale Saturday evening at Bob Warn Field.

After Friday's doubleheader second game was halted with the Braves leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning, Bradley pushed its lead to 4-2 with a single run in the top of the seventh Saturday, only to see the Sycamores bang out a pair of 2-run home runs in the home half of the seventh for the 6-4 win.

In the finale, the first four hitters in the third inning reached safely against Bradley starter Cole Cook as the Sycamores grabbed a 3-0 lead.  The Braves managed only two hits through the first seven innings, before plating one run on three hits in the eighth.

After his eight-game hitting streak came to an end in the first game Saturday while drawing three walks in his five plate appearances, freshman third baseman Brendan Dougherty went 2-for-3 with a double in the series finale, raising his season batting average to a team-best .333.  Luke Mangieri had an RBI in both games.

The Braves will return to action next weekend by hosting Evansville in a 3-game series at Dozer Park Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
