THE OPENING PITCH
• Having completed spring semester final exams earlier in the week, Bradley Baseball returns to action with its final road series of the season, a 3-game weekend series at Missouri Valley Conference rival Dallas Baptist.
• The Braves have won four of the last five in the series, beginning with an 11-6 victory in the 2015 regular-season series final in their last game at Horner Ballpark.
• Bradley is making its third trip to the state of Texas this season: the Braves opened the year by taking 2-of-3 games Feb. 17-19 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, then dropped all three games in the March 3-4 series at Sam Houston State.
• Ironically, Dallas Baptist is coming off a 7-5 loss Wednesday night at Sam Houston State.
• The teams share a second common non-conference opponent - North Florida, which took 2-of-3 from both teams in Jacksonville during the pre-conference season.
• The Braves enter the weekend series in seventh place in the MVC standings, but just two games behind fourth-place Wichita State.

• The Braves clinched last year's series win on J.F. Garon's walk-off single April 30, 2016 at Dozer Park in a game televised on ESPNU.
