SPRINGFIELD, MO - The league's automatic berth in the NCAA postseason will be on the line when all eight teams descend on Hammons Field for the 2017 Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Championship, which will be hosted by #12 Missouri State Wednesday through Saturday night.

Bradley (20-29, 6-14 MVC), which has advanced to the tournament's final day in consecutive years for the first time in program history, will be the No. 7 seed this year and will be joined in tourney's Bracket A by No. 2 seed #29 Dallas Baptist (26-19, 15-6 MVC), No. 3 seed Indiana State (27-24, 12-9 MVC) and No. 6 seed Evansville (17-37, 8-12 MVC). The Braves will face DBU at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Game 2, following the opening game between Indiana State and Evansville. The two Bracket A losers will meet in Thursday's 9 a.m. elimination game, while the Bracket A winners will meet in Game 7 at 4 o'clock Thursday.

Following double elimination bracket play, the two bracket winners will meet in Saturday's 7 p.m. championship game. Every game of the 2017 MVC Baseball Championship will be broadcast on ESPN3.

• The Braves have won their first-round tournament game in each of the last three years, the longest streak of first-round wins in program history.
• With a 5-3 record the last two years, Bradley has advanced to the final day of the MVC Baseball Championship in consecutive years for the first time in program history.
• Bradley is joined in Bracket A by the same three teams as 2015, when the Braves defeated Evansville, Indiana State and Evansville to reach the tournament championship game for the first time since 1996.
• Each of Bradley's last four MVC Tournament losses have come against Missouri State.
• Bradley is 3-4 all-time in MVC Tournament games played at Hammons Field, including a 2-1 record against the host Bears.
