ST. LOUIS - Former Bradley University pitcher Rob Scahill has made it back to the Big Leagues for a sixth consecutive year.  The right-handed reliever was called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs Monday by the Milwaukee Brewers and has joined the Major League franchise in St. Louis for the remainder of a 4-game series against the Cardinals.

Selected in the eighth round of the 2008 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft by the Colorado Rockies, Scahill made his MLB debut in 2012 and has made 100 career appearances at the Big League level for the Rockies (2012-14), Pirates (2015-16) and Brewers (2016).  He is 4-4 with a 3.68 ERA in those outings.

After a dominant spring training season in the Brewers Major League camp, Scahill was assigned to Milwaukee's Triple-A affiliate in Colorado Springs.  In nine outings as the Sky Sox closer before Monday's call-up, Scahill was 0-1 with three saves and a 1.04 earned run average.

While Scahill is back in the Majors, two more former Bradley players are knocking on the door:  utility infielder Jason Leblebijian is batting .333 with four home runs for Toronto Blue Jays Triple-A affiliate Buffalo, while outfielder Mike Tauchman is batting .271 with two home runs in his second season with Rockies Triple-A affiliate Albuquerque.

Elsewhere on the farm, former Bradley outfielder Max Murphy saw his 6-game hitting streak for the Fort Myers Miracle (MIL Class A Advanced) snapped last night.  Hitting .305 on the season, Murphy was 14-for-23 (.609) during his hitting streak.  He hit two home runs in Sunday's 8-6 win against Dunedin and flirted with a cycle by following with a second straight 3-for-4 performance in Monday's 4-1 win against Daytona.

Two members of Bradley's 2016 pitching staff are now working at the Class A level.  RHP Matt Dennis has made nine appearances for the Asheville Tourists in the South Atlantic League, where he sports a 2.77 ERA in nine appearances and boasts 14 strikeouts against just four walks in his 13.0 innings.  All four of the runs he has allowed to date came in one outing and he is working on a streak of six consecutive scoreless appearances totaling 6.1 innings.  In his most recent outing Tuesday at Greenville, Dennis worked 2.0 scoreless innings with four strikeouts.

In the Midwest League, LHP Cameron Roegner has made four appearances for the Brewers affiliate Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.  He has alternated starts and relief appearances and in his most-recent start April 21, he blanked the Peoria Chiefs on four hits in his 6.0 innings.
