PEORIA, IL - Marcellus Sommerville and Jerome Randle shared team-high scoring honors with 21 points and Walt Lemon Jr enjoyed a near perfect shooting day while chipping in 19, leading Bradley's alumni team Always A Brave to a 92-81 win against Fort Wayne Champs Sunday during the second round of the 2017 The Basketball Tournament Midwest Regional at Renaissance Coliseum.

The third-seeded Bradley alumni advance to the Super 16 Saturday in Brooklyn, where they will face the second-seeded Ohio State alumni team, Scarlet & Gray.  Saturday's game will be televised live at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.  The winner will face the winner between top-seeded Golden Eagles Alumni (Marquette) and No. 4 seed Purple & Black (Kansas State) Sunday for the TBT Midwest Region championship.

Tony Bennett started an 8-0 run that gave Always A Brave the lead for good by burying a 3-pointer for a 21-18 edge with 11:33 left in the first half.  Matt Salley's steal set up Lemon for a breakaway and Sommerville drained a triple with 10:22 left in the period for a 26-18 lead.  Andrew Warren added another trey with 7:40 left for AAB's first double-digit lead, 34-23, and Braves eventually stretched the lead to a 16-point halftime bulge, 51-35.  Fort Wayne never seriously threatened in the second half.

Always A Brave shot 59.6 percent (34-57) from the field, including 12-of-27 (.444) from 3-point range Saturday.  The Braves limited Fort Wayne to 44.3 percent field goal shooting and won the rebounding battle, 36-30.
