CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- A quartet of Bradley women's golfers were named Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars according to a recent announcement by the WGCA, with senior Grace Henderson (Peachtree Corners, Ga./Blessed Trinity) along with juniors Chloe Horton (Coral Gables, Fla./Ransom Everglades), Frankie Saban (Orland Park, Ill./Carl Sandburg) and Brooke Thompson (Jefferson City, Mo./Jefferson City) earning the honor.

Bradley's four WGCA All-American Scholars tied for the third most in the Missouri Valley Conference.  The WGCA All-American Scholar Team included a total of 952 women's collegiate golfers from NCAA Division I, II & III.  The criteria for selection to the team required a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and competition in at least 50 percent of the rounds scheduled during the regular season.

Henderson was named a WGCA All-American Scholar for the third consecutive year, while Horton and Saban are both repeat selections.  Bradley's four winners pushed the program's total to 28 WGCA All-American Scholar recipients over the last eight seasons.

As a junior, Henderson ranked fifth on the team with a 79.50 stroke average and 14 sub-80 rounds in 2015-16.  She played in 10 of 12 tournaments and posted a 78.83 stroke average in the spring.  Henderson paced Bradley at the Rio Verde Invitational, carding a season-best 74 in the final round.  She tied for 10th at the UIC Fall Shootout for her best finish of the year.  A health science major with a 3.68 cumulative grade point average, Henderson enters her senior year 14th in program history with an 80.10 career stroke average and is 15th in school history with 38 career sub-80 rounds.

One of four players to play a school season record 34 rounds in 2016-17, Horton was fourth on the team and 20th in the MVC with a 78.38 stroke average this past season.  She fired 20 sub-80 rounds, which included a career-best 72 at the Redbird Invite where she tied for 14th to lead the Braves in the season-opening event.  Horton tied for fourth at the UIC Fall Invitational for her best finish of the season.  An international business major with a 3.73 cumulative grade point average, Horton is ninth in school history with a 79.04 career stroke average.

Saban was an honorable mention MVC Scholar-Athlete in 2016-17 after ranking third on the squad and 15th in the MVC with a 77.94 stroke average.  Her season average ranks as the 22nd lowest season average in school history and Saban carded 22 sub-80 rounds to rank third on the team.  Saban averaged 76.78 per round in the spring, which included a career-best 70 in the second round at the Rio Verde Invitational.  The hospitality leadership major with a 3.85 cumulative grade point average, posted back-to-back top-10 finishes at the Cardinal Challenge (7th) and Bradley Spring Invitational (4th).

Thompson appeared in 10 of 12 tournaments in 2016-17, closing the season with an 80.67 stroke average.  She fired 12 sub-80 rounds and was medalist at the UIC Fall Invitational, where she carded a career-best 73.  Thompson was named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week following her medalist title.  She posted a 79.42 stroke average in the fall with seven sub-80 rounds.  A health science major, Thompson owns a 3.61 cumulative grade point average.
