HARVEY'S SCHEDULE HAVOC
For the second consecutive weekend, Bradley's schedule has been affected by Hurricane Harvey ... The season-opening HBU Invitational at Houston Baptist was cancelled last weekend, but the Braves managed to partner with fellow tourney participant Gonzaga to schedule a single game in Peoria last Sunday (Gonzaga pulled out a 2-1 decision in double overtime) ... Bradley also announced Thursday the Braves have added a game next week against NCAA Division III Aurora University to replace the second game lost from the HBU Invitational cancellation ... In addition to the re-scheduled games, this weekend's ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic was delayed by one day due to heavy rains forecasted for southern Indiana, the result of the remnants of Harvey.

SERIES HISTORY
19th Meeting | Northern Illinois leads 9-6-3
Saturday's matchup between Bradley and Northern Illinos will be the 19th meeting in the all-time series between the in-state rivals, but the first-ever series meeting at a neutral site ... The series dates back to NIU's 7-0 home victory Oct. 28, 1997 during Bradley's inaugural season as a NCAA Division I program ... The Braves earned their first win in the series Sept. 26, 1997 in Peoria, 2-0, to start a dominant 9-game series stretch that saw Bradley post a 6-1-2 record against the Huskies from 1997-2009 ... The teams have not met since Northern Illinois earned a 2-0 victory Sept. 24, 2010 at Shea Stadium.

SCHINDLER'S DEBUT
A transfer from Indiana Tech, sophomore Roman Schindler (Vienna, Austria/BRG4 Waltergasse School) came up big in his Bradley debut Sunday ... The 6-foot-2 forward scored the tying goal on an 88th-minute header to help force overtime against Gonzaga ... Schindler became the first Brave to score a goal in his Bradley debut since Alexi Davies-Campbell completed the scoring in Bradley's 4-1 win at #21 Butler to kick off the 2011 season ... Schindler also was the first Bradley rookie to score at home in his debut since Chris Cutshaw tallied his first career goal in the 2006 season-opener versus St. Francis (3-0) at Shea Stadium.

BARNES PLAYS BIG BETWEEN PIPES
Graduate transfer Brandon Barnes (Cary, IL/Prairie Ridge H.S.) was impressive between the pipes in his Bradley debut Sunday, despite the 2-1 overtime loss to Gonzaga ... Barnes stopped four shots, including one breakaway chance in the second half to keep the Braves in the game ... In just one game, the graduate transfer from Seton Hall quickly has become Bradley's active career leader with his four saves and 107 minutes played to date.
