Volleyball to Host Preseason Previews

Bradley Volleyball invites fans to participate in postgame meet-and-greets following their preseason exhibitions

PEORIA, IL – As Bradley Volleyball prepares for the 2019 season, fourth-year head coach Carol Price-Torok invites fans to engage her team during two Preseason Preview events.

The Braves will host the intrasquad Red-White Scrimmage Thursday, Aug. 15 (6:00 p.m.) and an exhibition match versus Milwaukee Wednesday, Aug. 21 (4:00 p.m.), both at Renaissance Coliseum. Following each competition, the Bradley coaching staff and student-athletes will be available for Bradley Volleyball Preseason Preview meet-and-greet session with fans.

Both competitions and both post-event Preseason Preview sessions will feature free admission and will be open to the public. Fans interested in attending the postgame Preseason Preview events, however, are asked to RSVP by visiting bubrav.es/vballpreseason2019.

Bradley is coming off a breakthrough season in 2018: the Braves, who were 24-9 overall and finished third in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 13-5 league record, were among the most improved teams in the nation last year and advanced to the postseason for the first time in program history. As The Valley's automatic entry into the 2018 National Invitation Volleyball Championship, Bradley advanced to the second round of the event by knocking off Mid-American Conference regular-season champion Bowling Green for the program's first-ever postseason win.

Following the preseason schedule, the Braves officially will open the 2019 season by taking on host SMU, Stephen F. Austin and UTSA in the SMU Doubletree Invitational Aug. 30-31 in Dallas. Bradley will open its home schedule by hosting Belmont, DePaul and Oakland in the CEFCU Invitational Sept. 6-7 at Renaissance Coliseum.

Season-tickets for Bradley's 14-match regular-season home schedule currently are available for purchase for just $40 adults, $20 children in eighth grade or younger and FREE for Kaboom!'s Club members ($10 annual membership) from the Bradley Athletics Ticket Office (309-677-2625 or BradleyTicketOffice@bradley.edu) at Renaissance Coliseum.
