PEORIA, Ill. – Jamie Phillips is set to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Phillips will run in the Men's 800m Semifinals on Wednesday, June 10, at 8:58 p.m. (6:58 p.m. PDT) at Hayward Field.

The 24 athletes who qualified for the Men's 800m Semifinals will be split across three heats of eight.
Jamie Phillips will compete in heat three. Nine athletes will advance to the Men's 800m Final -- the top two finishers in each heat plus the three fastest times among those not in the top two of their respective heat. The Men's 800m Final will be on Friday, June 12, at 8:14 p.m. (6:14 p.m. PDT).
Phillips qualified for the Men's 800m Semifinals at the NCAA Outdoor Championships after finishing third in heat two of the quarterfinals on Friday, May 29. Phillips is the second Brave to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the last two seasons after
Jack Crull qualified in the Men's 1500m event in 2025. He is the third Brave, male or female, to qualify for the outdoor national meet in the last four seasons, joining Crull last year and Tiana LoStracco in 2023.
Jamie Phillips' sophomore season has been one for the record books. He became the first Brave to set an 800m time under 1:46.00, running 1:45.74 at the Bryan Clay Invite and 1:45.61 at the Billy Hayes Invite. His time of 1:45.61 was ranked 12th in all of NCAA at the conclusion of the regular season, and he possessed the best 800m time on an event squad that finished the regular season ranked sixth in the nation. Phillips won his second MVC Outdoor 800m title (fourth overall) and earned MVC Men's Track Most Outstanding Athlete. Phillips also earned five MVC Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors during the indoor & outdoor track seasons, with two coming during outdoor season.
The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be broadcast on ESPN on Wednesday and ESPN2 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Live timing will be via Flash Results for all four days.
