PEORIA, Ill. — Former IU Indianapolis women's golf standout and rising collegiate coach Kara Blair has been named head coach of the Bradley University Women's Golf program, Bradley Athletics Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Chris Reynolds announced.

"Kara has quickly established herself as a rising star in the sport, and we are excited to welcome her to Bradley Athletics," said Reynolds. "She emerged as a target early on in our search process based upon her outstanding achievements as a student-athlete coupled with her record and reputation as a high-level quality coach. We look forward to the impact she will have on our women's golf program and our student-athletes."

"I'm truly excited to be a part of the Bradley Braves family," said Blair. "I want to thank Dr. Reynolds and the Bradley Athletics administration for their confidence in me and for the opportunity to lead this program. This team has every ingredient for success, and I can't wait to see where the year takes us!"

Blair joined IU Indy's coaching staff prior to the 2023-24 campaign, assisting with both the men's and women's golf programs. She was elevated to Associate Head Coach for both programs on July 1, 2025, ahead of the 2025-26 season.

During her tenure as a coach, Blair helped guide two athletes to Horizon League Championship individual titles and subsequent NCAA Regional appearances. Titus Boswell won the Men's Golf Championship in 2024-25, while Yanah Rolston won the Women's Golf Championship this past season.

From 2024-26, the Jaguars won a litany of All-Conference honors, including two Men's Golf All-Horizon League First Team awards, two Women's Golf All-Horizon League Second Team awards and a Freshman of the Year award in 2026.

A decorated former Jaguar, Blair closed her playing career as the program's all-time leader in rounds played with 109 and ranked No. 8 on the program's career scoring average list at 78.63. She also finished tied for seventh in program history with 10 career top-10 finishes.

Blair was voted All-Horizon League Second Team as a junior in 2021 after closing the COVID-shortened season with a 76.69 stroke average over 13 rounds. She was a member of the Jaguars' Horizon League Tournament roster each year of her career and earned All-Tournament Team honors as a freshman after tying for fifth overall.

That freshman season, Blair helped the Jaguars capture the Horizon League championship and earn an NCAA Tournament appearance at the NCAA East Lansing Regional.

In addition to her success on the course, Blair was recognized for her work in the classroom. She was on IU Indy's Academic Advisor's List seven times during her collegiate career.
