EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Bradley's veteran group of attacking players turned in their most productive game of the season, leading the Braves (7-5-1, 3-1-0) to a 3-1 Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer victory at Evansville (3-10-1, 1-3-0) Friday night at Black Beauty Field.

Junior Joe Ducci (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central H.S.) scored the game-winning goal in the 78th minute, then assisted Preston Good's (Newark, Calif./Moreau Catholic H.S.) insurance goal in the 88th minute as Bradley earned its fifth consecutive victory in the series against the Purple Aces. Ducci, who now owns 10 career goals for the Braves, notched his first tally of this season in the 13th game. Good, who entered the season as Bradley's active career scoring leader, recorded his first goal since opening night to increase his career total to 26 strikes.

Junior midfielder Steve Chromik (Elk Grove, Ill./St. Viator H.S.) started the scoring in the 11th minute by earning his first career goal as a Brave. The transfer from Vanderbilt headed home an Adam Hage service at the far post for a 1-0 Bradley lead at 10:48. Evansville drew even in the 39th minute when Chris Binder scored on a header of his own, finishing off a feed from Marc Burch and Dustin Awe for his third goal of the season.

While the report from Evansville indicated that the Purple Aces seemed to be enjoying the run of play through the first 20 minutes of the second half, Bradley's defense was strong enough to hold off the charge. Although the Purple Aces did outshoot Bradley, 10-7, in the second half, only two of those shots were on target and Braves junior keeper Chris Dunsheath (Rockford, Ill./Boylan H.S.) saved both attempts.

Senior midfielder Luke Kreamalmeyer (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville H.S.) set up both of Bradley's second half goals to secure his second career two-assist game. Kreamalmeyer now has earned at least one point in five of Bradley's last six games and he continues to lead the team in scoring with 17 points.

Bradley will try for its third straight Valley road victory Sunday when the Braves visit Southwest Missouri State. The teams met twice last season with both games ending in 1-1 draws, although the second meeting in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament semifinals went to a shootout and Bradley advanced by a 4-2 margin in penalty kicks.
