CINCINNATI, Ohio ? After rallying from a two-goal deficit, Bradley quickly saw its momentum halted when Wiremu Patrick scored in the 59th minute, leading host Cincinnati (1-3) to a 3-2 men's soccer victory versus the Braves (3-2) Thursday evening at Meyers Field.

Jeremiah Gallegos scored a pair of first-half goals to give the Bearcats an early 2-0 lead. Gallegos took a feed from Patrick in the 12th minute and beat Bradley keeper Chris Dunsheath in a one-on-one situation for his first goal of the season. In the 29th minute, Gallegos pounced on a loose ball following a Cincinnati corner kick and hit the net for the second time.

The Braves halved their deficit in the 33rd minute when senior Luke Kreamalmeyer (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville H.S.) delivered his second goal of the season on a feed from junior Joe Ducci (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central H.S.).

The Braves appeared to gain the momentum early in the second half when freshman Nick Mentgen (Peoria, Ill./Notre Dame H.S.) scored his first career goal at 57:42. Bradley's back line played a long ball into the offensive end, where a Bearcat back inadvertantly flicked the ball backward. Mentgen ran onto the free ball and deposited his first college goal to knot the score at 2-2.

In similar fashion to Bradley's first loss of the season Sept. 4 versus Richmond, the Bearcats answered just 56 seconds later. Reserve Kwame Sarkodie sent a corner kick into the area and Patrick came through with the game-winner on header for his third goal of the season at 58:38.

Although Bradley outshot its hosts 13-12, both team managed to get only five shots on goal. Braves senior forward Preston Good, the team's active career scoring leader with 25 career goals, was held without a shot in 81 minutes of action Thursday.

After their brief, one-game road trip, Bradley will return home to face Northeastern Saturday night. The Braves will be shooting for their third straight home win at Shea Stadium.
