WEST CHICAGO, Ill. -- Junior Josh Brown shot a final round 78 to post his first career top 10 finish and the Bradley Men's Golf Team shot 323 during Tuesday's final round of play to finish ninth overall at the John Dallio Memorial at the Prairie Landing Golf Club in West Chicago, Ill.
Brown entered the day tied for 15th with teammate Craig Tautges and shot a team-low 78 on the day to climb into a tie for 10th place at 221. Tautges fired a 79 during Tuesday's round to tie for 17th place at 222.
Sophomore Scott Phegley matched Brown's team-best 78 on the day with one of his own to tie for 60th place at 237. Sophomores Ryan Julius and Brad Molitor both shot 88s on the day to round out the action for the Braves. Julius finished 59th in the individual standings at 236, while Molitor tied for 67th.
Windy conditions made scoring difficult during Tuesday's play. The low individual round of the day was 73, following Monday's action when 13 rounds of 69 or lower were carded.
Southern Illinois took the team title in the 13-team field with a three-round total of 879. Saint Louis was second at 882, with Wisconsin-Green Bay and College of William and Mary tying for third at 890. Cleveland State took fifth at 891, with Detroit (899), Eastern Illinois (902), Evansville (905), Bradley (911) and DePaul (917) rounding out the top 10, respectively.
The Braves return to action October 11-12 at the Ironhorse Intercollegiate in Tuscola, Ill.
