East Lansing, Mich ? Bradley senior Ashley Morris (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) won two straight-set singles matches against Big Ten opponents Thursday to advance to the qualifying bracket quarterfinals and one moved within one victory of the main draw in the 2005 Wilson/ITA Intercollegiate Indoor Regional in East Lansing, Mich.

Morris knocked out Purdue's Brittney Minna in round one with an efficient, 6-3, 6-3, straight set win.  Second round opponent, Ohio State senior Emily Howard, was the 12th tally in Morris' win column, 6-3, 6-3, in her sixth straight-set win of the fall.

Toledo senior Eunice Paravinci, known more for her doubles play, is the final road block on the way to the main draw for Morris.  Paravinci played just six singles matches in 2004-05 and is 2-0 this fall.

Bradley junior Teri Chan picked up the only other win for the Braves with her three-set, first round win over Wisconsin-Green Bay's Heather Harding, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.   Coupled with a second-round loss to Minnesota's Mariana Spilea, Chan wraps up her fall singles with a 10-5 record.

The doubles draw has been released with Morris and junior Elise Montrose (Portland, Ore./Sunset) in the top half of the draw facing Michigan's pair of Sugiyama and Yaftali while freshman Kim Braun (Racine, Wis./The Prairie School) will team with Chan to take on Ball State's Jessica Thompson and Haly Calderwood.

Doubles action is scheduled to begin Friday at 2 p.m.
