CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Senior Meaghan LeBlanc shot a season-low 74 to help lead the Bradley Women's Golf team to second place after day one at the Cincinnati Fall Classic in Cincinnati, Ohio, Monday. LeBlanc and the Braves shot a first-round 313 and are three shots behind Toledo.
LeBlanc is tied for second place, one shot behind Tammy Clelland after shooting a 74 in Monday's opening round of play. Freshman Bari-Lynn Erais and sophomore Rikki Sobel are both tied for ninth place after carding rounds of 79. Junior Charlotte McGinnis is currently tied for 12th after firing an 81 and senior Whitney Bauer is tied for 24th at 87. Freshman Whitney Cox, who is playing as an individual, finds herself in 11th place following a first-round 80.
Toledo holds a three-shot edge on Bradley after firing a 310 in the first round. The Braves are second at 313 and hold a solid lead on third-place Cincinnati which is third at 322. Ohio finished the first day in fourth place at 336, while Youngstown State and Cleveland State are fifth and sixth, respectively, at 343 and 346. Bowling Green is seventh at 354, with Cincinnati B (8th - 375), Robert Morris and Loyola-Chicago (Tied for 9th - 377) and South Carolina State (11th - 444) rounding out the field.
Bradley concludes play at the Cincinnati Fall Classic Tuesday with one round of play.
