PEORIA, Ill. --  Fresh of his record-setting senior season, Bradley goalkeeper Chris Dunsheath (Rockford, Ill./Boylan H.S.) has been invited to participate in the 2006 adidas MLS Player Combine Jan. 12-15 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

Dunsheath was a four-year starter between the pipes at Bradley from 2002 through 2005.  Among his many records, Dunsheath played 8196-minutes, 32-seconds, the third-highest total by a goalkeeper in the history of all divisions of NCAA men's soccer.  He set the school and Missouri Valley Conference career record with 27.5 shutouts, highlighted by the school single-season record 11.0 shutouts in 2005.  He also went his entire four-year career without allowing an overtime goal, finishing with a 6-0-12 record in 18 career overtime games.

The Missouri Valley Conference head coaches named Dunsheath the 2005 Valley Defensive Player of the Year and made him the first-ever keeper to be selected first- or second-team All-MVC four times.  A second-team pick as a freshman in 2002, Dunsheath was a first-team honoree during each of his final three seasons.  Dunsheath also has a chance to be a four-time NSCAA All-Midwest Region selection when the team is announced next week.  He was a second-team pick in 2002 and 2003 and a first-team choice following his junior season in 2004.

Dunsheath was one of four goalkeepers invited to the MLS Combine, joining Erik Kronbert (California), Andy Gruenbaum (Kentucky) and Ray Burse (Ohio State).  He also was one of four Missouri Valley Conference players among the 54 NCAA Division I players selected for the event, joining defenders Matt Wieland (Creighton) and Cory Farabi (Drake) and forward Jimmy Klatter (Eastern Illinois).

Each of the four former Braves who have gone on to play in Major League Soccer have been invited to participate in the MLS Combine the year they were drafted.  Gavin Glinton, a second-round selection by the LA Galaxy in 2002, elected not to participate in the tryout session, but Bryan Namoff (2001 DC United), Tim Regan (2003 MetroStars) and Luke Kreamalmeyer (2005 Real Salt Lake) all were drafted after participating in the combine.  Kreamalmeyer was named the Most Outstanding Player at the 2005 MLS Combine, then was selected in the fourth round of the 2005 MLS SuperDraft by Real Salt Lake.

The 2006 MLS SuperDraft is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. (CST) Jan. 20 in Philadelphia during the NSCAA Convention.
