PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior Genny Mueller scored a game-high 20 points and added seven rebounds, five assists and four steals, but Drake had four players score in double figures as the Bulldogs spoiled senior day for the Braves, pulling out a 66-58 win in Missouri Valley Conference women's basketball action Saturday at Robertson Memorial Field House.

Mueller reached the 20-point mark for the 18th time in her career and led the Braves in scoring assists and steals, but Bradley shot just 32.3 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from beyond the three-point arc.

Drake led by as many as 11 points in the first half and owned a 34-27 lead at halftime thanks in part to poor shooting by the Braves. Bradley shot just 28.1 percent in the opening 20 minutes, making just 9-of-32 shots.

Despite the poor shooting effort for Bradley, the Braves battled back and eventually took a brief 40-39 lead on sophomore Ashley Chelleen's layup with 14:17 to play. The Bulldogs eventually recaptured the lead at 45-42 on a Lindsay Whorton three-pointer with 11:21 to go.

Drake extended the lead to as many as nine points at 61-52 with 2:59 to play, before Bradley made one last rally attempt. Mueller found Chelleen cutting to the basket for a layup with 2:43 to go and Chelleen got a defensive board and another layup to cut the lead to five points, 61-56 with 1:53 remaining.

The Braves missed three consecutive shots, before Mueller made a layup with :34.1 to play to cut Drake's lead to three points, 61-58. Linda Sayavongchanh was fouled on the next play and made both free throws to push the lead back to 63-58 with 31.8 seconds on the clock.

Bradley turned the ball over on its next two possessions, however, as Drake held off the Braves for the 66-58 victory. With the loss, Bradley fell to 13-12 overall, 6-10 in the Valley and are now tied with Illinois State for seventh in the MVC standings. Drake improved to 12-13 overall, 7-9 in Valley play.

Mueller led all scorers with 20 points, while Chelleen finished with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go along with three steals. Sophomore Erika Nelson scored in double figures for the seventh time in the last eight games, posting 10 points.

Senior Dena Williams became the 13th member of Bradley's 1,000-point club finishing with five points and 10 boards. She now has 1,001 career points and needs just eight rebounds to break Val Wancket's career rebounding record.

Four Drake players were in double figures, paced by Sayavongchanh and Whorton, who each scored 13. Brandy Dahir and Jill Martin both added 12 points.

The game marked the final home contest for Bradley's six seniors: Amy Fuller, Kayla Hackman, Jaime Lugge, Genny Mueller, Va'Nicia Waterman and Dena Williams.

Bradley returns to action Thursday at league-leading SMS at 7:05 p.m.
