NORMAL, Ill. ? Senior Genny Mueller earned first-team Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete honors for the second time in her career, announced by the league office Wednesday.
A health science major with a 3.85 cumulative grade point average, Mueller was named to a first-team Valley Scholar-Athlete for the second consecutive season and joints Heather Best as the only two players in program history to be named a first-team scholar-athlete more than once.
Bradley's career leader in free throw percentage and three-point field goals, Mueller is second on the team in scoring (12.9 points per game), rebounding (3.5) and assists, while leading the squad in three-pointers and steals this season.
She is a two-time ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V selection and ranks ninth in school history in scoring 1,258 points. Mueller ranks third in Missouri Valley Conference history and also ranks among the Valley's career leaders in three-pointers.
Mueller and the Braves return to action Thursday against Indiana State in the quarterfinals of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament at Redbird Arena at noon.
