PEORIA, Ill. ? Bradley fell to 2-10 overall and 0-3 in Missouri Valley Conference play after falling 7-0 to Indiana State in Valley women's tennis action Friday afternoon at the Clubs at River City South. The match was delayed 30 minutes due to inclement weather in the Peoria area.
The Sycamores swept all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point to start out the match. Senior Kelley Wood and sophomore Teri Chan dropped an 8-6 decision at #2 doubles to the Indiana State duo of Marie Caujolle and Magda Faferek. Freshmen Kathleen Bowen and Jessica Sampias fell at #3 doubles to the Sycamores Magda Narczewska and Imane Lahlou by the score of 8-4.
Indiana State swept the singles action as well, en route to a 7-0 victory. Sophomore Elise Montrose fell 6-4, 6-2 at #1 singles to Jennifer Migan, while junior Ashley Morris dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision at #2 singles to Indiana State's Joanne Schickerling. Caujolle posted a 6-1, 6-3 win over Kelley Wood at #3 singles. The Sycamores posted straight set victories in the remaining singles matches to complete the sweep.
The Braves return to action Saturday at IPFW at 5 p.m. in Fort Wayne, Ind.
