SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Junior Meaghan LeBlanc shot an even par 72 Tuesday to take medalist honors at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference women's golf championship at the Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo., and the Braves finished fourth with a three-round score of 936.

LeBlanc is just the second Bradley golfer to earn medalist honors at the Valley Championship, joining Kelly Dillon who took top honors at the 1999 and 2002 tournaments. LeBlanc carded a 72 in Tuesday's final round of play to finish the tournament at one-under par 215 (73-70-72). Her 215 tied Tulsa's Sofie Eriksson for the lowest three-round total in tournament history. Eriksson shot 215 at the 1995 Valley Championship in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Freshman Rikki Sobel tied a season-low with a 77 in the third round to tie for 15th overall at 239 (77-85-77), while senior Agnes Kim fired an 80 to slip one spot into a tie for 21st place at 243 (84-79-80). Freshman Whitney Cox also carded an 80 in the last round to finish tied for 29th overall at 246 (85-81-80). Senior Carly Sobel shot 77 Tuesday to finish tied for 32nd at 248 (84-87-77), while junior Whitney Bauer rounded out the scoring for the Braves with a final round 89 to tie for 39th at 255 (81-85-89).

LeBlanc earned all-conference honors after her record-tying performance helped lower her season average to a school-record 77.3 per round. She joined Dillon as the only other Bradley player to earn all-conference honors three times and is the 16th three-time all-conference honoree in Valley history. Joining LeBlanc on the all-conference squad was Kim, who is the eighth different player to take home all-conference honors in program history.

The Braves began the day in fourth place, five shots behind Southwest Missouri State. Bradley's 306 in the final round was the lowest round of the year, but the Braves were unable to make up much ground on the leaders as they finished four shots behind the Bears in fourth place.

Illinois State shot 297 in the final round to finish with a three-round score of 909. Southern Illinois carded a 310 Tuesday to finish at 927, while Southwest Missouri State shot 307 to take third place at 932.

Bradley was in fourth place at 936 (315-315-306), while Creighton placed fifth at 957. Northern Iowa finished sixth at 960, edging seventh-place Wichita State (964) and Evansville rounded out the field in eighth place at 1,024.

The Braves lose two players to graduation in seniors Agnes Kim and Carly Sobel, but return four letterwinners next year including three-time all-conference performer Meaghan LeBlanc
