AMSTERDAM -- Former Bradley standout Dena Williams has had a quick start to her professional career, helping the Probuild Lions to the first-half championship of the First Division of the Dutch Basketball Association.
The Lions were one of four teams to play in a tournament to conclude the first half of the season. Williams averaged 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in the two games while shooting 46 percent from the field.
In the semifinals, Williams scored 15 points in just 14 minutes of action and also added one assist in the Lions 87-65 victory against Binnenland. She nearly posted a double-double in the championship game against Den Helder, finishing with 10 points and a team-high nine boards.
Williams graduated in December with a degree in early childhood education and joined Probuild for the tournament to conclude the first half of the season.
