Cedar Falls, Iowa ? Bradley junior Jennifer Jenkins (Calumet City, Ill./Thornwood) claimed her second runner-up finish in the weight throw in as many meets on Saturday as the women's track team wrapped up action at the UNI Invitational.
Jenkins topped the 55-foot mark again, this time at 55'07”, nearly a foot better than the third place finisher.
The distance runners put in solid efforts in their first go at the 3,000 meter run with juniors Sarah Westrick (Livonia, Mich./Winston Churchill) and Marcia Backstrom (Minonk, Ill./Fieldcrest) clocking in with 10:48 and 10:58 respectively, finishing in seventh and eighth place.
Maya Monito-Webber (Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City) recorded a team-best in the 60-meter dash in her first run of the season in the event with an 8.41 mark.
The Braves return to Northern Iowa for the UNI Classic next weekend.
