PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley outshot its visitors 27-14 and allowed only three shots on goal, but the Braves (6-6-3) could not break through against the Oral Roberts defense and settled for a 0-0 draw against the Golden Eagles Saturday night at Shea Stadium.

The Braves, who have not lost an overtime game at home since the 2000 season, did manage to get two shots past ORU goalkeeper Carlos Veron, but his teammates came up with team saves on the goal line both times.  Veron made five saves to earn the shutout.  Bradley keeper Mike Haynes needed only three saves to earn his fifth shutout of the season and second in a row.

While Oral Roberts did need the two team saves to preserve the shutout, the closest either team came to a goal came of the foot of Golden Eagles forward Gary Duran.  Running onto a ball in the center of the park about 25 yards from the goal in the 80th minute, Duran skipped a ball through traffic and past Haynes, but it hit off the left post.  The ball eventually came to ORU reserve Nikola Bogdanovic, who rolled another shot toward the goal, but Haynes smothered the attempt for his final save.

Bradley will wrap up its four-game homestand and non-conference schedule Tuesday when the Braves host in-state rival Western Illinois in a 7:05 p.m. game at Shea Stadium.  Tickets for regular-season home games at Shea Stadium are $5 for adults, $2 for youth (K-12) and free for Bradley University students, faculty and staff, as well as active military members and their immediate families, all with valid identification.  Tueday's game also is a “Red Ticket” game and coupons for free admission for the contest will be available at Buffalo Wild Wings in East Peoria, Sweet P's and Smoothie King.
