PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley men's and women's golf teams will both conclude their fall schedules next week when they play host to tournaments Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 30-31) at WeaverRidge Golf Club. The women's team will be welcoming eight of the other nine MVC members for the Missouri Valley Conference Preview, while the men's Bradley Fall Classic will feature up to six teams.
Nine of the 10 MVC schools will be participating in the women's tournament, with Evansville being the lone school not represented. The MVC Preview will be the only tournament hosted by Bradley prior to the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship, which will be played April 15-17 at WeaverRidge.
The par-72 6,043-yard course previously served as host to the 1999 MVC Women's Golf Championship, which was won by tournament-host Bradley and was the first of four Valley team titles for the Braves. Teams will be allowed to have six individuals play with four individual scores counting toward the team total.
The men's field for the Bradley Fall Classic will include Missouri Valley Conference foes Illinois State and Creighton in addition to Wisconsin-Green Bay, Chicago State and possibly Western Illinois. Each team will be allowed five competitors with four scores counting toward the team total on the par-72, 6,986-yard course.
Both tournaments will be 36-hole events with one round being played each day beginning with 9 a.m. shotgun starts.
