The Braves (1-0 overall) opened the 2006-07 season with a 67-60 home victory against Chicago State Saturday. Senior Erika Nelson led all players with a game-high 16 points, while junior Devyn Flanagan added 15 points and sophomore Kelly Krumwiede chipped in with 14 points to help highlight Bradley's win.
Tuesday's game, which will start at 7:35 p.m. at Lantz Arena in Charleston, Ill., will be the season opener for Eastern Illinois. The Panthers won both of their exhibition games and return nine of 13 letterwinners, including three starters from last year's team that finished 10-19 overall and 9-11 in the OVC.
Bradley will continue it's two-game road swing Friday at Butler. The Braves and Bulldogs will tip off Friday's game in Indianapolis, Ind., at 6:05 p.m. (CST).
