TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Bradley committed 22 turnovers and shot just 35.3 percent, as the Braves fell to 6-15 overall and 2-10 in MVC play with a 78-52 loss to league-leading and preseason Valley favorite Indiana State Friday night in women's basketball action in Terre Haute, Ind. Sophomore Devyn Flanagan and junior Ashley Chelleen tied for team-high honors with nine points each.

Indiana State scored the first seven points of the game and Bradley made just one of its first nine shots from the field as the Sycamores opened the contest with a 13-3 run over the first 6:43 of play. The Sycamores extended the lead to as many as 17 points in the first half of play, taking a 28-11 lead with just over seven minutes before the half, and held a 35-22 advantage at the break.

The Braves committed 11 turnovers and shot 34.6 percent in the first half of play, while Indiana State shot 46.9 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes of play.

Much like the first half, the Sycamores scored the first 11 points to open the second half to open a 19-2 Indiana State run that pushed the Sycamores lead to 54-24 with 13:27 remaining. Bradley was unable to cut much into the Indiana State lead as the Sycamores cruised to a 78-52 win to pick up the team's 17th consecutive win and improve to 19-2 overall and 11-0 in the Valley.

Bradley shot 36 percent in the second half and made 5-of-11 from three-point range, but couldn't overcome 52 percent second-half shooting by the Sycamores.

Chelleen and Flanagan tied for team-high scoring honors with nine points. Junior Jen Brown added eight points and a team-best four assists. Chelleen and Flanagan also tied for game-high honors with seven rebounds.
