Cedar Falls, Iowa ? Jennifer Jenkins' (Calumet City, Ill./Thornwood) 20 pound weight throw of 57'09.75” was more than a foot better than her own school record toss and good enough for second place at the UNI Classic hosted by Northern Iowa on Friday.
Jenkins continues to throw at a record-setting level in her junior season on the Hilltop with her second all-time best throw of the season. Jenkins was the top Valley finisher by nearly a foot in the weight throw and claimed a fourth place finish in the shot put with a heave of 38'10.5”.
Bradley received season-best efforts from Jessica Holloway (Paris, Ill./Paris) in the 60 meters, Maya Monitto-Webber (Iowa City, Iowa /Iowa City) in the 60 hurdles, Jessica Puckett (Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville) in the and Julia Schurr (Canal Winchester, Ohio/Bloom-Carroll) in the 200 and 400 meters.
The Braves will return to Iowa next weekend when they make the trip to Ames, Iowa for the Iowa State Classic.
