REUNION, Fla. -- The Bradley women's golf team opened up its Spring Break trip to Florida with an exhibition match-play dual with Southern Illinois Monday at the Reunion Resort and Golf Club in Reunion, Fla. The Braves and Salukis tied the match at 2.5-2.5.
Senior Meaghan LeBlanc defeated Samantha Sutzer of Southern Illinois 3 and 2 and freshman Bari-Lynn Erais downed the Salukis' Braidy Hood 6 and 5 for the Braves two victories on the day.
Southern Illinois picked up wins with Josie Lowder beating sophomore Rikki Sobel 3 and 2, while Christine Zoerlein was a 2 and 1 winner over junior Charlotte McGinnis. The match ended in a stalemate when sophomore Whitney Cox and Abbigail Johnson of Southern Illinois halved their match.
The Braves wrap up their trip to Florida Wednesday and Thursday when they take part in the Northern Illinois Snowbird at the Pebblecreek Country Club in Tampa, Fla.
