MADISON, Ill. -- Senior Craig Tautges shot rounds of 73 and 74 during the first day of action at the Billiken Invitational, helping the Bradley men's golf team to 10th place after two rounds of play at the three-round event being played at the par-71 Gateway National Golf Course in Madison, Ill.

Tautges is tied for 13th place overall, shooting a 147 in the first two rounds. Fellow senior Josh Brown recovered from a first round 79 to shoot a season-best 71 in Monday's second round of play to end the day tied for 24th place at 150.

Junior Ryan Saurs carded rounds of 78 and 76 to finish the day four shots behind Brown at 154 and tied for 46th place. Fellow junior Scott Phegley finished the opening day one shot behind Saurs tied for 55th place at 155 after firing rounds of 79 and 76. Freshman Kyle Shay rounded out the scoring for the Braves with rounds of 80 and 77 to finish tied for 65th at 157.

Austin Peay owns a six-shot lead atop the team leaderboard with a two-round total of 585. Tennessee Tech and Murray State are both tied for second place at 591 with Western Illinois and Saint Louis following closely behind at 593 and 594, respectively.

Evansville, UMKC and DePaul are in a three-way tie for sixth place at 597. Cincinnati holds a five shot edge on Bradley in ninth at 601 with the Braves following in 10th place at 606. Lindenwood is 11th overall at 608, while North Dakota State (12th - 611), Tennessee-Martin (13th - 618) and Wisconsin-Green Bay (14th - 633) round out the field.

Bradley closes out play at the Billiken Invitational Tuesday with one round of play.
