SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Senior Meaghan LeBlanc is one shot behind individual leader Sara Wikstrom of Arkansas-Little Rock and the Bradley women's golf team is tied for third place after 36 holes at the Payne Stewart Memorial at the par-72 Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo.
LeBlanc is one shot behind first day leader Sara Wikstrom after two rounds of play with a two-round total of 153. LeBlanc carded rounds of 77 and 76 to finish one shot back of Wikstrom's 152. Freshman Bari-Lynn Erais shot rounds of 81 and 83 to finish the day in 18th place at 164.
Sophomore Rikki Sobel is two shots behind Erais at 166 after shooting 84 and 82 during Monday's action, while sophomore Whitney Cox had rounds of 87 and 82 to finish tied for 31st place at 169. Junior Charlotte McGinnis rounded out team play for the Braves with scores of 86 and 85 to finish the first day tied for 37th at 171.
The Braves turned in rounds of 328 and 323 to finish the day tied with Missouri Valley Conference rival Illinois State at 651. Arkansas-Little Rock enters Tuesday's final round with a 24-shot lead on tournament-host Missouri State after shooting 621 in the first two rounds. Missouri State is in second place at 645, holding a six-shot lead on both Bradley and Illinois State.
Oral Roberts is fifth overall at 653, with Southern Illinois finishing the day in sixth place 662. Drury is three shots behind SIU in seventh place at 665, while Northern Iowa was eighth at 668. Northeastern State was ninth at 678 and the field was rounded out by UMKC (10th - 679), Creighton (11th - 687), South Dakota State (12th - 695), Evansville (13th - 701), Eastern Illinois (14th - 707) and Saint Louis (15th - 725).
Bradley closes out play at the Payne Stewart Memorial Tuesday with one round of play.
