PEORIA, Ill. – Steady rain in the Peoria area has forced the cancellation of Sunday’s Missouri Valley Conference softball doubleheader at Laura Bradley Park between Bradley and 25^th-ranked Southern Illinois.  The games will not be rescheduled.

The Braves and Salukis were originally scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday and a single game Sunday, but Saturday’s rain forced the cancellation of one game and the rescheduling of a doubleheader on Sunday.  Overnight showers and the threat of more rain to come forced the cancellation of Sunday’s twinbill.

Bradley will close out the regular season next weekend at home against Creighton.  The three-game Valley series will begin Saturday with a noon doubleheader at Laura Bradley Park and conclude Sunday with a single game at noon.  Seniors Brittany Dehler, Kimberly Dobill, Joanna Pettit, Holly Rogers and Bethany Till will be honored following Saturday’s doubleheader.
