Auburn, Wash. -- Action in the 2006 NCAA Women's Golf West Regional is underway at the par-72 Washington National Golf Club for the 2006 Missouri Valley Conference champion Bradley Braves.  Fans can follow the action live via the Internet.

Bradley is the #20 seed in the 21-team regional that includes 11 of the top 29 teams according to the latest rankings available from GolfWeek. The Braves are participating in their third NCAA Regional in program history after advancing to postseason play in both 2002 and 2003 following MVC titles.

The West Regional includes Pac-10 champion UCLA, Big Ten Conference champ Purdue, Mountain West champion UNLV, in addition to fellow conference winners UC-Irvine, San Jose State, Denver, Georgia State, Oral Roberts and Montana.

At-large selections for the West Regional include Georgia, Arkansas, Arizona, Stanford, New Mexico, Washington, Long Beach State, BYU, Oregon State, Washington State and New Mexico State. The top eight teams and the top two individuals not on those eight squads from each of the three regionals will advance to the NCAA Championship which will be held May 23-26 at the Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio.

The Braves earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional after winning its fourth State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship at Reflection Ridge Golf Club in Wichita, Kan., April 17-18.
