AUBURN, Wash. ? The Bradley women's golf team shot a 319, shaving seven strokes off its first-day score, in the second round of the NCAA Women's Golf West Regional Friday at the Washington National Golf Course.

The Braves once again were led by Missouri Valley Conference medalist Meaghan LeBlanc, who carded a 5-over 77 Friday.  LeBlanc was followed closely by Rikki Sobel and Charlotte McGinnis, who both chipped in with rounds of 80 Friday.  The Braves also counted Whitney Cox's second round 82 in the four-player team score, while Bari-Lynn Erais finished with an 87 Friday.

Although several teams are still on the course as of 5:30 (CDT) Friday, Bradley likely will remain in 20th place heading into Saturday's final round.  The Braves are four shots ahead of Montana and trail Washington State and Denver by seven and 10 shots, respectively.

The Braves earned their spot in the NCAA West Regional field by claiming an automatic postseason spot as the Missouri Valley Conference champion.  Bradley has won four Valley titles since 1999 and the Braves are playing in their third NCAA regional.
