(June 21, 2006) -- Former Bradley Soccer star Luke Kreamalmeyer was voted to the USL First Division Team of the Week Tuesday, based on his peformace in Portland's three-game road trip last week.
Kreamalmeyer scored twice in Portland's three games last week, notching the game's first goal in Thursday's 2-1 win at Minnesota and adding his team's first goal in an eventual 2-2 draw two days later at Rochester. After playing the full 90 minutes Saturday, Kreamalmeyer played the first 73 minutes in Sunday's scoreless draw at Montreal.
The Timbers are now part of a three-way tie atop the USL First Division standings with 20 points, based on the team's 5-4-5 record.
Kreamalmeyer is the third player associated with Bradley Soccer to earn national Team of the Week honors this summer. Charleston Battery forward Gavin Glinton was named the USL First Division Player of the Week May 2, while returning Brave Ken Hickman (Ogden Outlaws) was named the Premier Development League Player of the Week last week.
