Two former Bradley Soccer players were honored on the United Soccer Leagues Teams of the Week Monday after leading their respective teams to weekend victories.

For the second time this season Gavin Glinton was named the USL First Division Player of the Week after his two-goal effort Saturday led the Charleston Battery to a 2-0 victory versus Miami FC.  Glinton's one-time Bradley teammate, midfielder Jon Caldwell was named to the USL Second Division Team of the Week after scoring his first goal of the season in Cincinnati's 4-1 win Friday against Long Island.

The efforts of both Glinton and Caldwell helped their teams climb in the standings.  With 28 points, Charleston (8-6-4) now is tied for third in the 12-team First Division.  Cincinnati (7-5-3) followed up Friday's win with a 3-2 victory Sunday versus Harrisburg and has now climbed into a third-place tie in the nine-team Second Division.

Glinton played at Bradley from 1998 through 2001 and remains the all-time leading scorer in Bradley Soccer history with 133 points and 53 goals.  He also remains the only four-time All-American in Bradley Athletics and Missouri Valley Conference soccer history.  Caldwell was a four-year letterman at Bradley from 2000 through 2003, earning honorable mention All-MVC honors in 2003.

After playing parts of two injury-plagued seasons for the Los Angeles Galaxy and Dallas Burn in Major League Soccer, Glinton took two years off to rehab his injuries before returning to the pro ranks with the Charleston Battery in the USL First Division in April.  Currently tied for second in the First Division with 10 goals in 17 regular-season games, Glinton also was named the Player of the Week May 3.  Caldwell is in his second season with the Second Division Cincinnati Kings and earned his first-ever Team-of-the-Week honor.
