PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior Charlotte McGinnis was named co-winner of Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honors after earning medalist honors at the Western Illinois Invitational in Macomb, Ill., earlier this week. McGinnis shared the MVC Golfer of the Week honors with Missouri State's Sally Hinton, who captured medalist honors at the Chip N Club Invitational in Lincoln, Neb.

The sixth player in program history to earn medalist honors, McGinnis entered Monday's final round in a three-way tie for third place, but carded a 75 to finish atop the leaderboard with a two-round total of 152. Teammate Bari-Lynn Erais held a three-shot lead on all players entering Monday's final round but shot an 82 to slip into a tie for third place. The duo helped Bradley cruise to an 18-shot victory over second-place Northern Illinois as the Braves placed four individuals in the top 10 of the 60-person field.

McGinnis is the eighth different Bradley player to capture MVC Women's Golfer of the Week honors and it is the 17th time in program history a Brave earned the award.

The Bradley women's golf team returns to action Oct. 1 & 2 at the Huskie Invitational in Huntley, Ill.
