Minneapolis, Minn. ? Bradley junior Chris George (Normal, Ill./University H.S.) and senior Sarah Westrick (Livonia, Mich./Winston Churchill H.S.) led the Bradley men's and women's cross country teams to 32nd and 29th place finishes in the 2006 Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn.

George finished the 8-kilometer course in 26:29, good enough for 122^nd -place overall. Westrick finished the 6-kilometer course in 23:33, good enough for 110^th-place overall.

Junior Nick Palumbo (McHenry, Ill./McHenry H.S.) was Bradley's second finisher in 168th place with a time of 27:05. Junior Nathan Leech (Fremont, Neb./Fremont H.S.) was just behind Palumbo in 186th place with a clocking of 27:26.  A wave of Bradley runners followed with Nathan Ahart 199th (27:44), Patrick Greene 220th (28:31), and Drew Cisel 229th (28:55).

Freshman Rachel Brubaker (Davis, Ill./Durand H.S.) was Bradley's second finisher in 147th place with a time of 24:09. Sophomore Katie Nowak (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake H.S.) was just behind Brubaker with a clocking of 24:42. A wave of Bradley runners followed with Ainslie Schultz 182nd (25:01), Shelby Lile 187th (25:04), Tracy Lotter 194th (25:10) and Melanie Glander 207th (26:02).

Both the men's and women's cross country teams are back in action Saturday October 13, when Bradley hosts the Bradley Classic at 4:15 p.m. at Newman Golf Course.
