RIO VERDE, Ariz. ? Sophomore Bari-Lynn Erais tied her low round of the spring with a final round 74 Sunday and the Bradley women's golf team finished 14th of 18 teams at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational at the par-72 Quail Run Golf Course in Rio Verde, Ariz.
The Braves shot 311 in the final round and finished with a three-round total of 930. Erais tied her low round of the spring with a final round 74 and posted her fifth top 20 finish in six tournaments this spring with a 17th place showing. She finished with a three-round total of 226.
Junior Rikki Sobel followed up her season-best 74 in the second round, with a third-round 75 and finished tied for 21st at 228. Senior Charlotte McGinnis fired a 79 during Sunday's action to climb into a tie for 71st at 239, while sophomore Lauren Downing's final round 83 counted in the Braves final round as she tied for 81st at 242. Junior Whitney Cox rounded out the scoring with a final round 85 and finished 85th at 244.
Baylor won the team title, carding a 297 Sunday and finished first with a three-round total of 886. Arkansas-Little Rock was three shots back of the Bears at 889. Toledo was third in the team standings at 892, while Missouri State (900) and Texas Tech (906) rounded out the top five.
Wisconsin and Western Michigan finished tied for sixth at 908 and Eastern Michigan was eighth at 915. Cincinnati, Xavier and Minnesota each tied for ninth place with a three-round total of 920. Southern Illinois was one shot behind the trio in 12th place at 921 and Illinois State was 13th at 924. Bradley was six shots behind the Redbirds in 14th at 930.
The Braves had a two-shot lead on 15th-place Illinois (932), while Bowling Green (16th ? 937), Ohio (17th ? 947) and Ball State (18th ? 961) rounded out the field, respectively.
Bradley returns to action March 18-20 at the Diablo Grande Invitational in San Francisco, Calif.
