CONWAY, S.C. ? The Bradley women's tennis team began its spring break trip on a bad note, suffering a 7-0 setback at the hands of Coastal Carolina at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center in Conway, S.C.

Coastal Carolina took all three doubles matches to open the match, and won each of the six singles matches to pick up the victory.  Bradley fell to 5-7 with the loss, while Coastal Carolina improved to 13-3 on the year.

The duo of senior Elise Montrose (Portland, Ore./Sunset) and freshman Jessica Buterbaugh (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Chaparral) fell 8-3 to Hayley Rudman and Amy Pazahanick at No. 1 doubles, while the tandem of freshman Kelly Donohue (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) and sophomore Kim Braun (Racine, Wis./The Prairie School) dropped their No. 2 doubles match to Tina Petkova and Maria Camberos, 8-5. Freshman Emily Regenold (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) and sophomore Erin Krubeck (Boulder Colo./Fairview) lost to the Coastal Carolina's Sofie Ahlberg and Sarize Coetzee at No. 3 doubles, 8-4.

Montrose fell in her No. 1 singles match 6-2. 6-3 to Rudman.  Regenold fell in straight sets at No. 2 singles against Amy Pazahnick 6-0, 6-2 and senior Teri Chan (Gurnee, Ill./Warren) suffered a 6-3, 6-2 setback at No. 3 singles to Sarize Coetzee.

Donohue dropped her match at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-1 to Tina Petkova, while Buterbaugh was defeated at No. 5 singles by Kim Webb, 6-0, 6-3.  Braun fell 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6 singles at the hands of Maria Cameros.

The Braves return to action Wednesday when they continue their spring break trip against North Carolina - Wilmington at 2:30 p.m. in Wilmington, N.C.
