WILMINGTON, N.C. ? The Bradley women's tennis team continued its spring break trip to the Carolinas with a 5-2 loss to UNC-Wilmington, Wednesday afternoon at the Seahawk Courts.

The duo of senior Elise Montrose (Portland, Ore./Sunset) and freshman Jessica Buterbaugh (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Chaparral) fell 8-1 to Lauren Isenhour and Kayla Schwenk at No. 1 doubles and the tandem of freshman Kelly Donohue (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) and senior Teri Chan (Gurnee, Ill./Warren) dropped their No. 2 doubles match to UNC-Wilmington's Molly Molony and Priscilla Roberts, 8-2. Freshman Emily Regenold (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) and sophomore Erin Krubeck (Boulder Colo./Fairview) also dropped an 8-0 match to Jamie deGraffenreid and Cassie Martin at No. 3 doubles, 8-0.

Regenold lost her first set at No. 2 singles 6-3 to Priscilla Roberts, but rallied to win the final two sets, 6-4, 10-5 to pick up one of the two singles victories for the Braves.  Braun also picked up a victory, defeating Hartley Collins, 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

Montrose suffered a hard-fought loss at No. 1 singles to Molly Molony.  She dropped the first set 6-2, but pulled out a 7-5 victory in the second set to even the match.  Molony won the match with an 11-9 win in the third-set tiebreaker. 

At No. 3 singles, Chan fell to Schwenk, 6-1, 6-3 and Donohue lost at No. 4 singles to Cassie Martin, 6-0, 7-5.  Buterbaugh rounded out singles play, suffering a 6-1, 6-1 setback at No. 5 singles to Isenhour.

Bradley fell to 5-8 with the loss, while UNC-Wilmington improved to 12-8 on the year.

The Braves wrap up their spring break trip Thursday against College of Charleston at 1 p.m. in Charleston, S.C.
