NASHVILLE, Tenn. ? Junior Ainslie Schultz (Forest City, Iowa/Forest City) finished sixth in the 5,000 meter run to highlight Friday's action for the Bradley Track and Field team at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
Schultz had the best finish in the 5,000 meter run with a sixth-place finish and a time of 17:33.47. Senior Sarah Westrick (Livonia, Mich. /Winston Churchill) finished 14th with a time of 17:46.65, while junior Shelby Lile (Jefferson City, Mo./Jefferson City) clocked a time of 18:27.35.
Freshman Marlana Haefelin (Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich) was the first Bradley runner to cross the line in the 3,000 meter run clocking a 10:43.13 for 18th-place, while freshman Amanda Switzer rounded out the race with a 25th-place finish with a time of 11:21.46. Freshman Rachel Brubaker (Davis, Ill./Durand) was 37th in the 1,500 meter run, crossing the line at 4:51.94.
Freshman Erika Sepich (Canton, Ill./Canton) provided the highlight of the Field events for the Braves, finishing 12th in the javelin with a throw of 34.37 meters. Sophomore Jessica Holloway (Paris, Ill./Paris) took 35th in the long jump with a leap of 4.56 meters.
On the men's side junior Chris George (Normal, Ill./University) broke the school record in the 1,500 meter run, finishing fourth in a time of 3:51.59.
The Braves close out action at the Vanderbilt Invitational, Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.
